![]() ![]() I recommend against permatex/silicone based sealants as it will deteriorate and fall into the reservoir and get sucked it o the system, use some brakeclean to prep the mating surface and a paper gasket with gasket shellac (Indian Head is what I use). When the lift wont come down it is a sure sign that you have dirty oil in the hydraulic reservoir or that the return spring which is under the intake valve is weak and needs to be replaced or stretched out again to increase its tension. Another problem is a bucket that will not tilt, tilts back slowly or tilts forward slowly. Diesel works well use some air and some elbow grease and you will have no problems. This issue could be partly because of boom and bucket overload, low oil flow from the pump, auxiliary circuit on-over relief, control linkage binding, cylinder shafts are bent or the pump is damaged. Make sure to clean/flush the rockshaft lines/assembly too. If you do tap it to get it working again it will just do it again. Probably has some pitting on check valve or plunger that needs to be taken care of. Because few dealers do this, most are not properly set up or even non functional. Adjustment means the top will have to come off but this is no great problem.-Kind regards Brian. To confirm this, just apply a little pressure to the Draft/Position selector and see if the lift comes up. (L6060) of suitcase weights (not 950 or 850 but 900) for proper adjustment. I would think that your lift is out of adjustment and your Position Control follower pin worn. Start and run the tractor for no more than 5 seconds. Moreover, draft control is a dealer installed option on the L series and proper set-up requires loading the lift arms with 900 Lbs. IF YOUR TRACTOR S not equipped with a loader, disconnect the main pressure and return lines on the hydraulic pump and connect them together. The best thing to do is pull pump/valve and disassemble, inspect and clean. If the loader does not operate correctly, then there is a problem is likey related to the hydraulic pump. Before it was drained and refilled it probably had old fluid in it that was contaminated with moisture. If the pump is working then that valve is plugged some where internally, more than likely with crud that was sucked/pushed into it. ![]()
